Associate Professor Shane Keating

As an Oceanographer, Entrepreneur and Science Communicator, Shane uses powerful mathematical tools to better measure, model, and understand our ocean and our planet. He has partnered with industry on various projects, from measuring sea ice changes to leading a research project to develop new fuel-efficiency routing software for the shipping industry. He is also an experienced lecturer and PhD supervisor where he shares his love of mathematics, oceanography and teaching with his students.
