Overview

This face-to-face internship opportunity will involve joining De Stefano & Co to assist with the implementation of a company Information Security Management Systems based on ISO27001, designing and planning technical cyber security uplifts, and supporting the delivery of security engagements for our clients in the Defence sector.

During the internship, you will undergo extensive mentoring in industry best practice design methodologies, exposing you to the tools and processes used to develop security uplift programs for companies working in Australian and Global Supply chains. This will include the conduct of cyber security assessments, and the development and implementation of security governance programs. You will also support the delivery of security architecture assessments, the development of technology roadmaps and draft specifications for the procurement of cyber security projects and technology platforms.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience whilst working in a well-established South Australian business with national and international clients. You will also have access to mentoring and support from a professional team with extensive experience in the Defence sector and security services.

You will be supported through an employment contract with De Stefano & Co at a minimum rate of $1,200 per week on full-time basis. This paid internship opportunity is made possible through a co-funded arrangement between Defence Trailblazer and De Stefano & Co.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Final year students currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Computer Science or related technology/ICT/engineering degree and possibly a double with a Bachelor of Business degree
  • Australia Citizens able to secure an Australian Government Security Clearance
  • Preference may given to students possessing strong communication and presentation skills.
Additional Information

The internship is anticipated to commence in May and will be offered on a part-time basis (2-3 days for at least 16 hours per week) over a 6-month period, for a minimum of 60 business days.

You will be appropriately supervised by a qualified De Stefano & Co staff member.

At the conclusion of the internship, full-time employment opportunities may be available for suitable candidates interested in future employment with De Stefano & Co.
