Overview

This face-to-face internship opportunity will involve joining De Stefano & Co to assist with the implementation of a company Information Security Management Systems based on ISO27001, designing and planning technical cyber security uplifts, and supporting the delivery of security engagements for our clients in the Defence sector.

During the internship, you will undergo extensive mentoring in industry best practice design methodologies, exposing you to the tools and processes used to develop security uplift programs for companies working in Australian and Global Supply chains. This will include the conduct of cyber security assessments, and the development and implementation of security governance programs. You will also support the delivery of security architecture assessments, the development of technology roadmaps and draft specifications for the procurement of cyber security projects and technology platforms.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience whilst working in a well-established South Australian business with national and international clients. You will also have access to mentoring and support from a professional team with extensive experience in the Defence sector and security services.

You will be supported through an employment contract with De Stefano & Co at a minimum rate of $1,200 per week on full-time basis. This paid internship opportunity is made possible through a co-funded arrangement between Defence Trailblazer and De Stefano & Co.

Internship activities may include contributing to and learning:

• Conducting Gap Analyses and other security assessments of organisations against Australian and US Defence Security requirements.
• Drafting security policies and plans for De Stefano & Co and our clients.
• Developing specifications for security related technology acquisitions.
• Meeting with clients, including site visits to client facilities for security assessments and interviews.
• Supporting the delivery of Cyber Security and other engagements for clients in the Defence Supply chain.
