Panop is a Canberra-based defence technology company delivering sovereign electromagnetic superiority through advanced artificial intelligence and military machine learning operations.
Our core products are PlatypOS — a software-defined cognitive electronic warfare operating system — and LYREBIRD, a low-cost COTS-based EW hardware platform. Together, they provide an adaptive, AI-driven sensing and response capability that operates autonomously at the tactical edge, across distributed and contested environments.
Panop’s architecture is designed for interoperability and integration across joint and coalition C4ISR systems, enabling commanders to detect, understand, and control the electromagnetic spectrum faster than adversaries. Our approach — deploying large numbers of autonomous cognitive EW nodes at scale — delivers mass, redundancy, and resilience without the cost and fragility of legacy systems.
Founded by a former Royal Australian Navy engineer with operational experience across defence and special operations, Panop’s team includes electronic warfare veterans and AI experts. Our technical direction is informed by direct engagement with partners operating in active conflict, and our systems are currently undergoing field testing in contested environments. We deliver advanced sovereign capability that is Australian-owned and aligned to ADF and allied requirements.
