Overview

This face-to-face internship opportunity will involve joining Ipau to assist their team with delivering solutions and supporting the delivery of security engagements for clients in the Defence sector.

During the internship, you will undergo extensive mentoring in industry best practice design methodologies, exposing you to the tools and processes used to secure networks, endpoints, servers and users. This will include assistance with Essential Eight uplifts, ongoing monitoring and maintenance, compliance checks, customer facing meetings and much more. You will be based in the Ipau Prospect office with an open-plan design, table tennis, pool table and great coffee.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience whilst working in a well-established South Australian business with national and international clients. You will also have access to mentoring and support from a professional team with extensive experience in the Defence sector and security services.

You will be supported through an employment contract with Ipau at a minimum rate of $1,200 per week on full-time basis. This paid internship opportunity is made possible through a co-funded arrangement between Defence Trailblazer and Ipau.

Internship activities may include:

Essential Eight auditing, implementation and ongoing monitoring
Compliance checks of customer infrastructure
Network monitoring and maintenance
Troubleshooting with customers
Network implementations.

Eligibility Criteria

Penultimate or Final year students currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Computer Science or related technology/ICT/engineering degree and possibly a double with a Bachelor of Business degree
Australia Citizens able to secure an Australian Government Security Clearance
Preference may be given to students possessing strong communication and presentation skills.

Additional Information

The internship is anticipated to commence in June and will be offered on a part-time basis (2-3 days) over a 6-month period, for a minimum of 60 business days.

You will be appropriately supervised by a qualified Ipau staff member.

At the conclusion of the internship, full-time employment opportunities may be available for suitable candidates interested in future employment with Ipau.
