Dr Tracey Dodd is a Senior Lecturer at the Adelaide Business School, Adelaide University, Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, and Adjunct Associate Professor at the Governance Institute of Australia. Her academic work explores the intersection of governance, sustainability, and strategic innovation, with a particular focus on how regulatory and organisational frameworks can support ecological and social transformation. She has published in respected peer-reviewed journals such as Academy of Management Learning & Education and the British Accounting Review, and her research has been supported by major competitive grants, including as Chief Investigator on an Australian Research Council Discovery Grant and the Defence Trailblazer Research Programme. As CEO of Sustainable Innovation, she also bridges academic inquiry with applied research, leading projects that influence public policy and corporate practice in areas such as climate risk disclosure, ESG strategy, and sustainable development.
Dr Dodd’s academic engagement extends beyond traditional publishing. She is the inaugural facilitator of the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ “Climate Governance for Australian Directors” course, where she translates research into actionable insights for board members of companies such as Rio Tinto, AGL, and Nestlé. Her ability to disseminate scholarship through alternative outlets is also reflected in her policy advisory work and her invited contributions to global forums, including the United Nations in New York and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development in Geneva. With a PhD from the University of South Australia and an Masters in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University, she is committed to advancing scholarly impact through cross-sectoral engagement and innovative research.
