Dr Warren McKenzie  

Managing Director

Dr McKenzie is the Managing Director of HB11 Energy, a science entrepreneur, materials scientist and Fellow of the Royal Society of New South Wales. Early in his career he held two post-doctorate research positions, at Trinity College in Dublin and at UNSW, where he pursued research interests in nanotechnology, metallurgy and electron microscopy.

Mid-career Dr McKenzie became established as a science entrepreneur, starting with an Endeavour Executive Fellowship which saw him study the evolution of semiconductor industry in Silicon Valley. Dr McKenzie also has experience in commercialising research which has led him to develop various science start-ups including Adama Innovations, Indee Labs, Advance Alloy Holdings, HB11 Energy, where scientific publications and patents were key to the success of each.
