Overview

Silentium Defence is currently seeking a University of Adelaide software engineering or computer science student to participate in an internship commencing in the Summer break.

The internship opportunity will involve working closely with Silentium Defence’s Application and Service Lead to develop improved visualisations of the organisation’s radar metrics to help monitor and diagnose issues when they occur.

You will be supported through an employment contract with Silentium Defence at a rate of up to $1200 per week. These paid internship opportunities have been made possible through a co-funded arrangement between Defence Trailblazer and Silentium Defence.

Internship activities may include working under an agile process in the following steps:

Requirement elicitation and familiarisation with existing visualisations
Trade study of options and design
Prototype implementation and testing
Iteration and improvement of solution

Eligibility Criteria

Penultimate or final year students currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Software Engineering or Computer Science degree
Australian citizens who can secure a base security clearance

Additional Information

The internship is anticipated to commence in July 2024 and will be offered on a part-time basis (2-3 days/week) for a minimum of 60 business days.

At the conclusion of the internship, full-time employment opportunities may be available for suitable candidates interested in future employment with Silentium Defence.
