Overview

IVAI is developing AI-based products which have a high degree of technical complexity and sophistication associated with them. As a result, it is often difficult to communicate clearly and concisely to potential customers what the features of the products are, how to use them and what the benefits are. They therefore have a need to develop marketing assets which help address these issues – for example, short explainer videos, infographics and so on, along with graphical material to support website and LinkedIn posts.

During the internship, you will undergo extensive mentoring in product development and marketing activities. You will have the opportunity to interact with the project team and to work on leading-edge product development projects for Defence and adjacent markets.

You will be supported through an employment contract with IVAI at a rate of $1,200 per week. This paid internship opportunity is made possible through a co-funded arrangement between Defence Trailblazer and IVAI.

Internship activities may include:

developing explainer videos and associated material for a cybersecurity product which uses AI to analyse operational technology networks to identify connected devices and detect anomalous behaviour; and
developing explainer videos and associated material for a product that applies AI to complex IoT sensor networks to monitor the health of processes and to alert operators to anomalous system behaviour.

Eligibility Criteria

Penultimate and final year students currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Media, Commerce, Marketing or related discipline
Australian citizens able to receive security clearance
Preferably students should possess:
- an ability to develop storylines and to create video and other assets to support promotional material for products;
- a flair for marketing and digital promotion strategies; and
- proficiency in using the tools necessary to create digital and graphical media.

Additional Information

The internship is anticipated to commence in October 2024 and will be offered on a part-time basis (2-3 days/week) over a 6-month period, for a minimum of 60 business days.

The student will be appropriately supervised by a qualified IVAI staff member.

At the conclusion of the project, full-time employment opportunities may be available for suitable candidates interested in future employment with Insight Via Artificial Intelligence.
