Ibex Project Internship

UNSW

Overview

The internship opportunity will involve joining Praetorian Aeronautics’ autonomous systems development team and develop a Logistical Drone (LD) as part of an interdisciplinary team of engineers working on the Ibex Project. The LD prototype would be capable of supplying materials and people to remote and regional areas including high altitude zones, in an accelerated agile design process. These LDs may be Single/Multi-Rotor/Fixed-Wing/Fixed-Wing Hybrid Vertical Take-off and Landing.

During the internship, four of you will work as a team and undergo extensive mentoring in industry best practice design methodologies, exposing you to the tools and processes used to develop high performance autonomous systems. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience while working on a real-life design project and realising a proof-of-concept vehicle.

You will be supported through an employment contract with Praetorian at a rate of $1,200 per week. This paid internship opportunity is made possible through a co-funded arrangement between Defence Trailblazer and Praetorian Aeronautics.

Internship activities may include:
