Maria has extensive experience and networks in venture capital, the listed markets and commercialising technologies in Australia, USA, Europe and Asia. She is currently leading the New Ventures team at UNSW, and was previously CEO of Stride Equity, a venture group funding innovative, early-stage companies. As CEO of ASX listed Cellmid Limited, Maria has successfully spearheaded the acquisition and eventual licensing of the midkine technology portfolio, and commercialisation of the FGF5 inhibitor products. Maria has extensive experience in corporate finance and investment banking and is a sought after speaker, presenter and non-executive director, currently serving on the boards of the Garvan Research Foundation and ACM Biolabs Australia.
