The internship opportunity will involve joining Hullbot to assist with development of autonomous systems, with particular emphasis on practical and testable implementations of perception, localisation and mapping in a dynamic underwater environment.
During the internship, you will undergo extensive mentoring in industry best practice design methodologies, exposing you to the tools and processes used to develop underwater autonomous systems. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience while working in a pragmatic, impact-focussed, professional environment.
You will be supported through an Internship Scholarship co-funded arrangement between Defence Trailblazer and Hullbot and providing a stipend at a rate of $1,200 per week.

The internship is anticipated to commence on March 2025 and will be offered either on a fulltime or on a part-time basis (2-3 days/week) over a 6-month period, for a minimum of 60 business days. Dependent on projects and students requirements and availability.
You will be appropriately supervised by a qualified Hullbot staff engineer.
At the conclusion of the internship, full-time employment opportunities may be available for suitable candidates interested in future employment with Hullbot.
