Special Projects – Training & Systems
Rolf began his aviation career with the Royal Australian Navy. He spent six years as a Marine Technician on submarines before transferring to the Fleet Air Arm, where I served as a Sensor Operator with 816 Squadron Seahawks. During that time, he was deployed on multiple operational tours in support of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.
After leaving Defence, he transitioned into civil helicopter operations and have accumulated over 3,500 flight hours in aeromedical and search and rescue missions across Australia and the Middle East. For the past eight years, he has been with Toll Helicopters—initially as an instructor and then as Instructor Manager at the ACE Training Centre, supporting both NSW Ambulance and Defence training programs, and he now works within the Toll Aviation project management team specifically focusing on training programs and simulation development.
