Student Placements & Projects

Host a student (or students) through our Student Placements & Projects Program. Engage with university students through a work project, industry placement or internship to deliver outcomes for your organisation and help prepare them for future work in the Australia’s defence industry.

The program is aimed at meeting future workforce needs, improving linkages between academia and industry, as well as enabling access to a skilled talent pipeline.

Internship activities may be:

  • individual students or project teams under the supervision of an academic supervisor
  • delivered short-term or long-term
  • full-time or part-time; and
  • for credit or Engineers Australia accreditation.

Student cohorts may include undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students, or higher degree research students completing their PhD or Masters.
