Design Futures Lab

Part of the UNSW Kensington Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture, this lab facilitates model making and prototyping. With ten unique spaces, each of which houses a unique group of machines, materials and making possibilities, the capabilities of this facility includes:
- Wood & metal workshops
- Digital & Robotic Fabrication Labs (Laser Cutting & 3D Printing)
- Wet Lab (for clay & other wet materials)
- Polymers workshop
- Spray booth for the spray painting of fabricated items in both water base and solvent base paints.

Specialising in prototyping for start-up ideas, the MCIC Makerspace is a training, prototyping and project space. Focused on physical prototyping to support start-up ideas, the Makerspace hosts a range of capabilities and equipment including the:
- Digital Fabrication Zone
- Metal Zone
- Wood Zone.
