Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre (MWAC)

The Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre (MWAC) is part of UNSW Sydney’s Division of Research. The centre manages major instrumentation used by researchers for the study of the structure and composition of biological, chemical and physical materials. The facilities are housed in custom-built laboratories, mainly in the Lowy, Wallace Wurth and Chemical Sciences buildings on the Kensington Campus.

Microscopy Australia provides researchers and industry with access to the nation’s largest range of high-end microscopes, microanalysis tools, and specialists. Established in 2007, through the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS), it consists of nine university-based microscopy centres located around the country.
