QuantX Labs and Adelaide University researchers have successfully completed a collaborative research project that has delivered significant advances in optical clock technology and strengthened the pathway from university research to commercial, industry-ready solutions.
Defence Trailblazer is actively working with our industry partners in support of the Australian Government transition to Net Zero, funding a range of projects to develop emissions-reducing technologies to accelerate Defence’s transition to clean energy set out in the Defence Future Energy Strategy. The projects will also bolster the advanced manufacturing sector – supporting the energy transition while maintaining economic competitiveness.
The project aims to deliver a prototype of Aurora Materials’ proprietary security tags and is funded by the Defence Trailblazer’s Accelerating Sovereign Industrial Capabilities (ASIC) program.
Defence Trailblazer is pleased to announce that QuantX Labs has signed a new research project agreement with the University of Adelaide to mature their existing quantum sensing and timekeeping technologies. The $13.8 million project will advance existing designs from prototypes to deployable systems.
Praxis Labs (Praxis) and members of the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS) at the University of Adelaide are developing a new generation of camouflage photovoltaic solar modules, with funding from Defence Trailblazer. The project will demonstrate the first prototype of a ‘Camouflaged Tactical Solar’ module to support the energy resilience of Defence systems.
TeraGlo has confirmed its commitment to advancing sensing in Space by signing on additional work with the University of Adelaide’s Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS), supported by funding from the Defence Trailblazer’s Advanced Innovation Fund. The project will enable the development of a sovereign platform for Quantum Artificial Intelligence based Material Sensing (QAIMS) based on Novel Fluorescence (NF).
